Need music for your presentation?

If you are going to be adding music to your slideshow, please note the following:

- you must include a citation for your piece of music

- you should look for music with a Creative Commons license to make sure you have permission to use the music

- you need to ask permission to use music that you have not created. It is not enough to cite it in your sources. If you do not have permission from the creator, do not use the music clip.

Here are a couple of places to look for music:

Incompetech - hundreds of clips available for use, with permission and for free.

Creative Commons Search - Unclick "commercial purposes" and choose the Sound Cloud button.

To cite a piece of music, follow this format:

Author or poster. "Title of the song." Container. Uploaded or published by. Date of creation or posting. URL (no http or www                    needed.) Accessed Date of Access.

Example:

McLeod, David. "String Disco." Incompetech.com. Uploaded by David McLeod. https://incompetech.com/music/

            royalty-free/mp3-royaltyfree/Stringed%20Disco.mp3. Accessed 3 December 2018.
