In fact, cattle ranching is one of the biggest causes of deforestation in the Amazon. There is high demand for beef in Brazil and for Brazilian beef around the world. Like the farmers, this group directly feeds people and provides a huge number of jobs for Brazilians. This industry and the food it provides are massively important to the success of Brazil’s people.
